Hey, I’m Emma!
I’m a Jewish-Italian actress based in NY and DC, who has been professionally performing for the last decade. I graduated with a BA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Literature from American University. I love speed-reading and trying to solve murder-mysteries, any kind of chocolate, and snuggling my many cats and dogs. Favorite credits include Cassie in This Play Isn’t About Brian at the Kennedy Center and covering Miranda, Iris, and Juno in Aaron Posner and Teller’s The Tempest at Round House Theatre.

Reviews!
“Wallach, in particular, has really mastered the acting that must accompany the costume changing; watching her age and alter while she dons a tichel to become an orthodox woman in 2025 with memories of 1995 is a highlight of the evening”
-Broadway World, “Review: November 4 at Voices Festival Productions”

“Emma Wallach stands out in the dual roles of Noa, Rabin’s granddaughter, and Shalhevet, the onetime girlfriend of Rabin’s assassin. Her stunning portrayals bring high stakes, youth and maturity, vulnerable emotional connection, and a powerful, agile soprano voice.”
— DC Theatre Arts, “Voices Festival Productions’ ‘November 4’ sets a political assassination to music”
“Wallach’s monologue as Shalhevet (based on an actual person with a different name) is one of the highlights of the show…When Shalhevet claims that she never really thought Amir was going to kill Rabin, Wallach makes it easy to believe her….As Noa, Wallach’s love for her grandfather as well as her fears for him come across as blisteringly real.”
-DC Theatre Arts, “Why did two Gentiles enjoy a musical about the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin?”
“Riz’s sister Stephanie was played with a riveting blend of outrage, embarrassment, and compassion by Emma Wallach”
— Broadway World, “Review: The Chameleon at Theater J”
The Chameleon
The Boy Detective Fails
“The well-mic’d solos and ensemble singing serve all the songs well, with standout vocals by…Wallach…"
— DC Theatre Arts, “The Boy Detective Fails is a charming success”
Recent Work!
Tiny Lights at Theater J
Nov-Dec 2023 and 2024
I returned to my role as a Storyteller, having originated this track last December! Based on the stories of Isaac Bashevis Singer, adapted by Aaron Posner, and directed by Erin Weaver, this TYA Hannukah play and storytelling workshop was a delight to work on last year and I’m so thrilled to have worked on it once again!
This Play Isn’t About Brian at The Kennedy Center
May and August 2024
I played the role of Cassie in the Developmental Workshop and reading of Nikki Mirza’s new play. “This play interweaves real time scenes with theatricalized explorations of the different and shared experiences of womanhood, across cultures and generations.” The workshop process took place during a week of May and then was performed in the REACH building on August 24th during the Local Theatre Festival.
Built For This at Olney Theatre Center
April 2024
I originated the role of River in the Vanguard Arts Fund workshop of this new pop musical. With a book written by Lauren Gunderson, music and lyrics by Kira Stone, and direction by Steph Paul, I was honored to work on this musical “centering the experiences of five young, talented women gymnasts in a scenario reminiscent of the years of unchecked abuse perpetrated by Dr. Larry Nassar.”
